For Everything a Season

Mennonite Brethren in North America 1874-2002: an informal history

Description

For Everything a Season is an informal history of the birth of the General Conference (Canada and the US) structure, the ministries that were carried out under its umbrella and the ways God used these ministries and his people to further his kingdom.

The demise of the General Conference in the summer of 2002 as an active entity became the impetus for this book of reflection, thanksgiving and challenge. The fourteen essays look at the early beginnings, the migration from Russia to the US and Canada, music in the churches, publishing, mission efforts, educational endeavors, and how the church is positioning itself for the future.

A coffee table type book, many black and white pictures help to tell the story.
