Description
In every era, we as Christians face changes that threaten to crash down upon us. What does it mean to be Christian in twenty-first century North America, when many of our assumptions are being tested, and our methods are found to be less effective than in the past?
In Out of the Strange Silence: The Challenge of Being Christian in the 21st Century, the current faculty members of MB Biblical Seminary share what they perceive to be some of the challenges we face individually, as congregations, and as the global Church. Their contributions are divided into four sections: Reading Scripture Anew; Living the Christian Life; Church Leadership in a New Era; and the Church’s Place in the World. Together, the chapters are a challenge to reassess some of the bedrock on which we have based our beliefs and our practices.
