In this autobiography/memoir, Elmer Thiessen describes his journey from humble beginnings in a small Mennonite village in southern Saskatchewan to becoming a well-loved professor of philosophy, scholar and writer, and speaker at national and international conferences.
Elmer John Thiessen (Ph.D., University of Waterloo) taught philosophy at Medicine Hat College, Alberta, for most of his academic career. He has written five books including Teaching for Commitment (McGill-Queen’s University Press, 1993) and The Ethics of Evangelism: A Philosophical Defiance of Proselytizing and Persuasion (Paternoster Press and InterVarsity Press, 2011).
